About Divya

Divya founded Vivekam, a boutique talent and organization development firm named after the Sanskrit term for discernment.

Divya was an Associate Partner in McKinsey's People & Organization Performance, and Transformation practice. She advised Chief Human Resource Officers and Chief Transformation Officers in M&A and business turnaround situations. She led international, cross-disciplinary teams on strategy, process improvements, and capability building. She focused on organization structure and culture, talent management, and leadership development. She facilitated executive team workshops to foster trust, clearer decision-making, and collaboration to increase effectiveness.

She was an affiliate of McKinsey Academy – an innovative digital learning and skills-building platform incubated within the larger enterprise – and helped lead the Academy’s early-stage product strategy and business development. She served as a McKinsey Case Coach for 15 years and advised ~500 young professionals over that period.

Divya served as a Strategist with Mobius Executive Leadership, partnering with the CEO and executive team on strategic, operational, and business development initiatives. This included managing Mobius' partnerships with McKinsey and Egon Zehnder. Divya is trained as a Transformational Facilitator & Coach for Mobius. She designs and delivers workshops aimed at improving relational intelligence for CEOs and top management. Her workshops focus on increasing self-awareness, effective conversations, managing fear, and body-based practices for accessing creativity and managing emotions. Divya is certified in the Leadership Circle 360 Profile Assessment.

Divya's other interests are in education, skill-building, and movement & wellness. Divya worked with Education Resource Strategies, a national non-profit that partners with K-12 districts to allocate time, talent, and funds.

She holds faculty and advisory roles with MEET, Management Consulted, and previously with McKinsey Learning and McKinsey Academy. She serves on the board of Vidya Gyan, a non-profit committed to education and health outcomes for young girls in rural India. She was a Teaching Fellow at Harvard's Kennedy School in International Diplomacy, the Graduate School of Education in Education Finance, and the Wharton School in Corporate Finance.

She loves to always be moving. She is an athlete by upbringing, having trained as a competitive gymnast and dancer. If she isn't biking around NYC, you'll find her at Tone House, Alvin Ailey, or Kula Yoga Project where she received her RYT200 Yoga teacher certification.

Divya received her BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, MBA from MIT, and Masters in Public Administration from Harvard's Kennedy School.
